Lisa Jin


Formally, a PhD student in computer science. Off the record, someone obsessed with making useful, elegant things who happened upon coding as a medium. Occasionally can be found behind a music stand instead of a computer screen.


At the University of Michigan, I was advised by Danai Koutra at the GEMS Lab, with the goal of summarizing and visualizing dynamic brain networks. I plan on continuing in a similar vein of applied work at the University of Rochester.


I was fortunate to join research between computer science and {psychology, neuroscience, math} as an undergrad. Being a web developer at Vodori and Kellogg Eye Center showed me the practical impact of CS in other contexts, like healthcare.
